As a former land use planner, real state analyst, and community development professional Erica brings a “big picture” urban vision to the design table. This includes an appreciation for the complex relationships between often invisible systems (both natural and human-made) that make city life possible. In designing modern native and drought-tolerant gardens, Erica’s goal is to help clients realize their own personal “Shangri-La” in a manner that responds to the environmental, cultural and economic factors shaping our communities – ultimately, enhancing the quality of life for many, add a larger scale. Unique services include zoning code analysis and interpretation, greywater system design, project management, sustainable construction consulting, low-impact garden maintenance, and a fine sense of humor.

X-Tirp, an Oregon Public Benefit Company, designs and sells tools to control invasive species. For English Ivy and Blackberry, we have a specialized tool that grabs and easily pulls the vines out by the roots. Our hard-working crew uses it, along with other tools, to clean up parks and individual yards. We go after the roots, and we don’t use poisons or chemicals. We love to pull Ivy – that’s our specialty – and we fully support the BHCP. We want to help you get your certification, and offer a 10% discount from our normal rate for participants.
