Tahn Kehmeier is a landscape designer living in Portland, Oregon. Her specialty is naturescaping residential gardens with native plants within your ecoregion to enhance the biodiversity of wildlife; and creating healthier landscapes that function as living machines, combating carbon pollution, stormwater runoff, erosion, and ecologically destructive weeds. Her inspiration comes from being a Backyard Habitat Technician for the Portland Audubon & Columbia Land Trust; and Dr. Douglas Tallamy, Professor of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology, also the author of Bringing Nature Home.

Tahn has a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Portland State University and an Associate’s Degree in Landscape Technology/Design from Portland Community College. Her previous landscape design work has been for the PCC Learning Gardens, residential designs for the Backyard Habitat Certification Program, edible gardens for the PCC Horticultural Therapy Program, and community spaces for Portland’s Network for Oregon Affordable Housing.
