Thank you for being interested in creating habitat!

If your property is in Washington or Clark counties, we added your information to our waitlist, and we will contact you within 3 to 6 months, depending on how fast we can work through our existing waitlist, to collect the $35 fee payment and schedule your site visit.

If the property is

A) Outside of Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, or Clark county,
or
B) Larger than one (1) acre,

then we are unable to accept your application at this time. If you opted to receive our quarterly electronic newsletter during the enrollment process, you were added to that distribution list. We encourage you to contact your local municipality, soil & water conservation district, watershed council, or other conservation agencies or organizations to learn if a similar program is available or could be developed near you or for larger properties.

Don’t forget that our website is full of locally-specific resources and can give an idea of the nuts and bolts of creating an excellent habitat, controlling weeds, planting native plants, eliminating pesticides, stewarding wildlife, and managing rainwater that falls into the yard.

Ultimately, you can start making a difference in your own yard now, and we hope that our website helps you find the information and the inspiration to accomplish that.

Happy gardening!
